Galapagos Port Services in Puerto Ayora

GALAPAGOS WITH YOUR PRIVATE YACHT

Are you bringing your own boat to the Galapagos?

Vessels with less than 10 people on board may enter any of the five Galapagos Ports (Baltra, Puerto Ayora - Santa Cruz, Puerto Baquerizo Moreno - San Cristobal, Puerto Villamil - Isabela and Puerto Valesco Ibarra - Floreana) at any time without any prior permit from the Ecuadorian Government. Upon arrival at the Galapagos port of entry the vessel may remain anchored at this same port for up to 20 days. If your vessel has 10 or more people on board, then a GOVERNMENT CRUISING PERMIT is required.

If your vessel is in transit and you are planning to move within to another port within the Galapagos, a GOVERNMENT CRUISING PERMIT is also required.

In order to OBTAIN a CRUISING PERMIT, you need to work with a licensed Galapagos Yacht Agency.  Two months advance notice is recommended to obtain the proper permits.  Once this permit has been granted, your vessel is authorized to stay one month or longer in the Galapagos.

A licensed Galapagos Yacht Agency can also assist you with gaining permits to cruise the islands on your own vessel (please note this must be for non-commercial purposes and a licensed guide is required).

Yacht Agencies can also assist with obtaining permits for scientific vessels. Should you need assistance with finding a Licensed Galapagos Yacht Agency please contact us at info@galapagosonline.com and we will be happy to refer you.
